This is the "only" sharpener that works fantastic with the General's chalk pencils because it was made by Generals. The blade is made in Germany stays sharp. I don't know about you but all other sharpeners keep breaking the chalk point until you have just a stub left. This one is awesome from the start. No more wasting a whole pencil before getting a nice point!

Needle Grabbers
Our Price: $2.00
I absolutely l-o-v-e having these needle grabbers around for the occasional thick layering when you are killing your fingers to pull the needle through. Why suffer even a little bit when you just pick one of these small gems and pull your needle through like going through pudding! Two in a package. Great invention!!
Needles
Our Price: $2.50
I prefer these needles over all others because of the large eye to easily thread embroidery floss. They are larger needles but very sharp which makes them easier for me to handle.
Yes, you definitely need a pencil, preferably, with a nice eraser and, of course, nicely sharpened but to keep them sharp are these neat little things called "Sav-a-Point" which are like pen covers only you can put them on your pencils and chalk pencils to keep the points from breaking or smearing on other things. You can even put them over the tip of your spring action scissors which is a very, very wise thing to do since the point of those are so sharp.
I love these and use them as much as I can.
Set of all 3 colors (white, light grey, dark grey) with clear protective pencil covers included with purchase.
Iron-Off
Our Price: $6.50
This little tube of Iron-off hot iron cleaner is a lifesaver when you've gotten any pencil soot or glue residue on your iron's surface. Just use an old rag (I prefer an old t-shirt) and follow the directions on the tube and poof your iron is like new!!
I used this brand of glue a long time ago. I loved the glue but the old applicator kept clogging up on me. I finally decided to give up on it and threw it out! However, GREAT NEWS!!! They came out with these wonderfully improved applicators and now this is the best glue I've ever put through the test. It comes with two different length, very fine applicators. It only takes a small dab to hold very well on wool and wool felt. Dries almost instantly.

This incredible applique glue is 100% water-soluble, dries in minutes, holds firmly until you want to loosen it, and does not feel stiff when dry. The unique syringe applicator allows controlled placement of droplets of glue.Contains no dyes or waxes or harmful chemicals and is pH neutral.

Freezer paper that is not only easy to use. Easy to release. but is safe for ink jet printers. Great for any applique' technique but I especially love it for wool/wool felt applique'. Also great for foundation paper piecing. Just follow manufacturer's instructions and enjoy!

Short Stuff Scissors
Our Price: $10.00
Small embroidery scissors are also not mandatory, of course, but are sooo nice to be able to carry in your little project bag. One of the great things about working on penny rugs is if you keep your tools on the smaller side, you can fit everything in a baggy or project bag, toss it in your purse and conveniently take it with you almost anywhere to work on it. The less weight you have to carry, the better. I sell all three of these.

The first pair (My favorites for travel!) are called "Short Stuff" European Scissors and are only 2-1/2" long that come with a leather cover. Made in Italy, they come with a lifetime guarantee by the Tool Tron Company. ($10.00 each)

The Pen Style Needle Felting Tool allows application of small or delicate materials using one, two, or three needles. The tool can be adjusted to two length of needle sizes that can be used with the Needle Felting Molds for creating 3-dimensional design and applique. The handle offers ease of use because of the "Pen Style" grip action. Easy replacement of thick and thin needles. Gauge 40.
An applique pressing sheet is great for keeping your iron clean by placing over the applique pieces and pressing. Also great for pressing multiple connecting pieces right on top of it so they stick together as one. When the piece cools, gently pull off and place on your background to iron on. Fusible web remains on the back of your small pieces until ready to iron on fabric. This sounds very confusing but I will elaborate when I do my "How To" visual instructions. Do not worry. It will all make wonderful sense then!
