FISKARS MICRO-TIP SCISSORS

My choice for the best scissors ever for cutting tiny applique pieces with great ease are these No.5 Fiskars Micro-Tip scissors. Whether cutting wool, wool felt, cotton or even any of those with fusible web attached, they continue to cut right to the tip. They are so sharp, to me it's like cutting through pudding!
In fact, they stay sharp. I am still using the same pair that I purchased about 5 or 6 years ago. The only pair that I have been cutting through all my wool and wool felt pieces with fusible web and freezer paper on the back for years and yet they remain just as sharp as the day I bought them. They have a handy lock to stay closed. The handles have a soft touch and spring action to cut way down on hand fatigue. I do always keep a plastic "Sav-a-Point" cap over tip when not using them for safety and to prevent the the very sharp tip from cutting a hole through my project bag. I give a free plastic tip with every purchase but I sell bags of those extra plastic caps, shown above, for my pencils and chalk pencils as well.
